Summary of the October 22, 2011,
  CCDRC Board Meeting

The Members (property owners in the District) met on October 22, 2011, to again receive reports on the District’s progress and to elect directors for three-year terms. Re-elected were Dr. Robert Leif, Vincent Noto and Tod Swank, along with Jess Haro, who will serve his first term. The meeting provided Members with an opportunity to ask questions and comment on the efficiency and effectiveness of the District efforts. The members unanimously endorsed further evaluation of Vincent Noto’s proposal that Imperial Avenue be made a one-way street, and that parking on that street be changed from parallel parking to diagonal parking.

Following the Members meeting, the Board of Directors met and re-elected the same officers. Executive Director Don Shuckett reported on health insurance costs and possible alternatives and on plans for the Winter Festival to be held on December 3, 2011. James Justus reported that the street banners would be changed to holiday banners at the beginning of November. The Board approved a renewal of the Corporation’s fiscal agency application to the San Diego Arts and Culture Commission for a grant to support the After-School Strings Program.

All Member and Board meetings of the District are open to the public.
